The Bracket 1 HD or Bracket 1 mini is attached to the bottom of the camera at the camera's tripod mounting holes. The stainless steel screw, which is retained in the base of the bracket, can be tightened easily with a coin or key. Your tripod plate can then be attached to the bottom of the bracket.
The Bracket1 HD and Bracket1 mini have 3 sets of mounting holes on the top arm.
The holes shown by the red arrows are threaded and are primarily for mounting hardware that comes with the industry standard mounting pattern such as this wireless receiver box by SHURE and all of the Bracket 1 accessories (picture 2). In this case the box is mounted using flat head screws by SHURE from the inside of the box and screw into the threads in the bracket
The holes shown by the green arrows are not threaded and can be used to mount a variety of accessories including hardware that comes with the industry standard mounting pattern of threaded holes. In this case, screws run through the bracket and into the threads on the accessory - also possible on this SHURE box (picture 3). These holes are also used to mount the "Over Camera Cold Shoe" and "Over Camera Plate" (picture 4).
The holes shown by the yellow arrow are for mounting a cold shoe (picture 1 insert) to the bracket (See cold shoe-1)
