This versatile camera accessory bracket can be configured with additional shoe mounts and accessory adapters, allowing a variety of video and audio accessories to be mounted simultaneously. Constructed from super light-weight aluminum and stainless steel hardware, it attaches to the tripod mounting hole of your camera, while allowing your tripod plate to screw to the bottom of the bracket. This model locates the mounting plate in front of your hand next to the lens, on the right side of the camcorder. |Mounting the Bracket to the Camera|
The Bracket 1 camera brackets are attached to the bottom of the camera using the camera's tripod mounting holes. The stainless steel screw, which is retained in the base of the bracket, can be tightened easily with a coin or key. Your tripod plate can then be attached to the bottom of the bracket.
Loosen the white wing nut securing the leveling foot and adjust the foot to the correct height for your rig to sit level when placed on a flat surface; longer for when your tripod plate is attached to the bottom of the bracket and shorter with the bracket alone.
Mounting Accessories to the Bracket
The Bracket1 A, HD2, EX2, C2, mini2 and DSLR have 3 sets of mounting holes on the top arm. They are used to mount wireless receivers and other accessories either directly or using a Bracket 1 adapter such as an EW Clip (picture 4), Quick Plate or Cold Shoe (picture 5). See each accessory adapter's Mounting Instructions page for more specific mounting instructions for each individual adapter.
The holes shown by the red arrows (picture 3) are threaded and are primarily for mounting hardware that comes with the industry standard mounting pattern such as the pictured Quick Plate and wireless receiver box by SHURE (pictures 5 & 6).
The holes shown by the green arrows are not threaded and can be used to mount a variety of accessories including hardware that comes with the industry standard mounting pattern of threaded holes. In this case, screws run through the bracket and into the threads on the accessory - also possible on this SHURE box (picture 7). These holes are also used to mount the "Over Camera Cold Shoe" (picture 8).
The holes shown by the yellow arrow are for mounting a Cold Shoe-1 to the bracket (picture 1 insert)
