This kit includes everything you need to mount an Anton Bauer or IDX battery kit and a wireless microphone receiver and additional accessories in a number of different configurations on your camcorder's threaded handle (Fits cameras with dual 1/4-20 threaded pattern spaced 1.5" apart side to side. See camera application for Handle Mount-2 or use the "Bracket Finder" application on our website to find brackets that fit your camera). Mounting surfaces include threaded holes for Anton Bauer and IDX battery plate as well as horizontal and vertical offset 8-32 threaded bolt patterns on the back side of the battery plate and a number of 1/4-20 threaded holes. Add an additional Accessory Mounting Plate or other adapters to further diversify your mounting surface options! Made in the USA using high grade Aluminum with Stainless Steel threaded inserts.

BaseA Handle Mount Battery Mounting Kit Instructions

The BaseA Battery Mounting Kit provides a BaseA Handle Mount bracket, a Battery Plate, a couple of BaseA Adapters and a Quick Plate with two size straps. This provides for a few different variations in how you can configure your bracket system on your camera. You can add additional Plates and Adapters to further enhance your setup.

Attach the BaseA Handle Mount unit on the top of your camera with rubber washer between the camera and mount (photo 1).

In addition to the side mounting surface which has 6 threaded holes, the stainess steel mounting screws also have a threaded hole on the top for mounting a second BaseA unit or other accessories (Yellow Arrow, photo 2). The Handle Mount 3 also has two small threaded holes for attaching a Cold Shoe-1 (Red Arrow, photo 2).

You can attach the Battery Plate directly to the BaseA Handle Mount bracket using the supplied screws (photo 3) but you may achieve better balance by using some BaseA adapters to customise the position of the plate (photo 4, 5, 6).

Attach an Anton Bauer or IDX Battery Power Plate on battery side of the plate. The smaller threaded holes will align with the battery power plate on either side but to avoid pulling the threaded inserts out of the plate, the hexagonal outline of the threaded inserts should be visible on the BACK side of the plate (photo 7, yellow arrow shows the back, hex side of the larger threaded holes).

You may attach a Quick Plate or Wireless Receiver Box to the other side of the plate if the plate position allows, or use a separate plate (photo 7).

To attach the Quick Plate (or a Wireless Receiver Box) to the other side of the Battery Plate, use the 4 hole offset pattern as shown (photo 8). When the Quick Plate or Box is attached correctly, the hexagonal outline of the threaded inserts that you are attaching to should be visible on the BACK side of the plate (photo 7, Yellow Arrow). Screw into the side of the hole that has a round outline (photo 7, Green Arrow). This will give your bracket system maximum strength and assure that the inserts won't pull out .
